Still hot but a one-of-a-kind visual treat driving through Badlands National Park.  This is one of the least visited national parks, but it is incredibly beautiful in an otherworldly kind of way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This wasn’t my first visit here; I had been here when our children were 7 & 10, and we stayed a couple of days exploring.  The amazing part of the Badlands NP is that the scenery changes constantly throughout the day.  Early morning is a different color from midday, and late afternoon, and sunset & twilight are different still.  I highly recommend a visit.
